This page gives you access to some very old (and very good) songs from the 1920s - 30s and 40s

I recall watching Denis Potter's 'Pennies from Heaven' in the 1970s and being totally knocked out by  those great 1930s songs. As I began to entertain in elderly care establishments, I pondered -  'how  can I recreate some of those songs  and more importantly -  the atmosphere they conjure up ?' As I have a home studio, the music was fairly straightforward. It was then that I had the idea of using a computer and movie projector to show film clips to accompany the songs.
